A few weeks ago my PC crapped out on me and I've haven't had a home computer since then (I did have everything backed up at least). The PC's still in the shop - it needs a new motherboard and hard drive. I hope I can afford to get those installed next month.

Double Computer Fail: the diagnosis is in on my PC. Hard drive fail and when the tech was installing the new hard drive he discovered that the mother board was also failing. The two failures mimicked Power Supply fail. Turns out the Power supply is good.

This sucks... :(

Just received the first feedback from a Exploding Aces playtester. The critique was extensive and on the mark. I had foreseen much of the criticism and have been working to better explain or fix those areas of the game. The tester didn't call the game stupid or a ripoff, which I feared, but was kind and did say he liked the core of the game.

Last week in the Pathfinder/D&D game the players found themselves lost in time. After overcoming a few obstacles they were led to an ancient Druid/Wizard who promised to help them return to their “now” for a little favor. I set a number of goals for myself this year. Write more, at least five days a week and at least 300 words per day. I have exceeded my goals here and need to adjust them up. I received a letter and a survival kit from Bothell, Washington today from Kayley Allard. The letter came with maps to show me how to travel from Great Falls, MT to Grants Pass, OR in the event of the Apocalypse (she wasn't specific on the type, but did mention zombies as one possibility). Gaming at the SGC was subdued for me this weekend. A dear friend of mine told us that he probably has Lupus. Blood tests are pending, but systemic lupus is the probability. Sunday night I was watching Band of Brothers on HBO. It was the ninth show in the series called, “Why we Fight”. It depicts the liberation of a Nazi concentration camp and the horrors found there. The Police didn't find the man they were looking for - there was a K-9 unit involved in the search. The news article doesn't mention his name, but the police asked me point blank if a Wayne Falcon was in my home. I hope they find the guy, the cops certainly pulled out all the stops searching my neighborhood for him.
